In the early 90s my brothers Phien, Andy, Danny and I were obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). We were introduced to the TMNT through the arcade game. I remember a time when our mom used to drop us off at the Asian Garden Mall (Phuoc Loc Tho) where we would spend countless hours playing the game at the arcade. I can still vividly remember the sound of coins dropping into the arcade slot and button smashing. We were hooked on everything else TMNT related too. We watched the cartoon series, the movies, read the comic books, and collected the figurines. As an adult, TMNT still holds a place in our hearts because it reminds us of a time where the most important thing we had to do was beat the final boss together as brothers. Growing up being such huge fans of TMNT, we would have never imagined having the opportunity to collaborate with Nickelodeon to create a limited edition Leonardo sculpture. Leonardo was my favorite out of the four turtles, he was the eldest brother. With this sculpture, I wanted to show Leo as a serious, spiritual, and a discipline leader. ~Phuong Tran
